JOHNSTON, R.I. USA—FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers, whose clients include 1 of every 3 Fortune 1000 companies, is making pandemic relief donations totaling US$1 million worldwide in the communities where its employees work and live. The company will contribute US$50,000 to local nonprofit organizations chosen by each of FM Global’s 20 operations offices around the world.

Additionally, for all personal contributions made by FM Global employees and retirees to COVID-19 relief efforts, the company will double match each donation.

“The local communities where we do business have all been afflicted by the coronavirus and so we are asking our employees, who know best where funds can make the biggest difference, to choose which local nonprofit organizations receive donations,” said Thomas A. Lawson, FM Global chairman and chief executive officer. “Also, by doubling our employees’ personal donations to COVID-19 relief efforts, our intent is to help those organizations most important to each individual.”
