FM Global Grows Its Newly Formed Innovation Team with Four Staff Appointments

FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial and industrial property insurers, has added four seasoned leaders to its newly formed innovation team led by Michael C. Lebovitz, senior vice president, innovation.

Vincent A. Reyda has been appointed senior vice president, manager, innovation implementation. Reyda most recently served as senior vice president, division manager, EMEA division, based in FM Global’s Windsor, U.K., office. He joined FM Global in 1988 as a loss prevention engineer, and has held a variety of positions within the organization in underwriting, engineering and business development. Reyda holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, N.J., USA. 

Ronnie Gibson has been appointed vice president, innovation business and insurance. Gibson joined the organization in 1988 as a loss prevention engineer based in the U.K. He has since held a variety of engineering consulting and management positions within the company, including chief engineer and most recently manager of brand experience. Gibson holds a diploma in structural engineering from Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland.

Balaji Purushothaman has been appointed vice president, innovation data and digital. Prior to his current appointment, he served as principal enterprise architect. Purushothaman joined FM Global in 2014 as a senior enterprise architect and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University in India.

Jaap de Vries, Ph.D., has been appointed vice president, innovation science and technology. De Vries joined the organization in 2009 as a senior research scientist and most recently served as lead research scientist. He holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University (Texas, USA); a master of science in aerospace engineering from the University of Central Florida (Florida, USA); and a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering from the College of Amsterdam (Amsterdam, the Netherlands).

FM Global’s innovation team is focused on identifying, sourcing, developing and deploying new products and services combining property loss prevention with insurance protection that enhance the resilience of its clients.
