JOHNSTON, R.I., USA, November 21, 2024 – Commercial property insurer FM has appointed Lyndon Broad executive vice president, staff insurance operations, effective Dec. 1, 2024.
In this role, Broad will lead FM’s core insurance operations, which include underwriting; research and engineering; claims; data analytics and AI; and global client services, sales and marketing. For more than 30 years, Broad has served in numerous staff and operations positions at FM, including operations management roles in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, chief underwriting officer. Broad will replace Randy Hodge, who was recently named FM’s chief operating officer.
“Lyndon brings extensive operations and management experience with FM, including senior operations roles in all of our key disciplines and geographic regions,” said Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM. “He is the perfect fit to lead our staff insurance operations team and ensure we continue delivering best-in-class services for our clients to manage current and future risks.”
Broad holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Swinburne University, Melbourne, Australia.
